A. Town of Portland Residental "Market" value increase since 2009
B. Town of Portland percentage of change in various property type values since 2006
C. Town of Portland percentage of change in various property type values compared to Town of Sheridan since 2010
D. Town of Portland percentage of change in various property type rates used for calculating values since 2006
E. Town of Portland compared to other towns in the county as percentage of change in equalization rates since 2006
1. Initial letter from State requesting Equalization rate review 2011-09-27 - the state provided a list of the residential sales and states that only residential parcels may be used
2. List Assessor provided that was turned into State for new equalization rates - No residential sales were included
3. List state was provided approved by town assessor – agrees with list we were provided from the assessor - No residential sales were included
4. Letter from the State to the town assessor 2012-01-10 - No residential sales were included
5. Comments and Inaccuracies observed on Assessors list - No residential sales were used
6. List of Real Residential sales 7/01/10 – 6/30-11 - Downloaded from the counties web site and condensed to list only arm's length sales, no banks, county or relative to relative sales.
7. Real Property Tax Law 738 - States that only residential parcels can be used - no exceptions
8. School Tax Burden Comparison - Our additional burden was $79,000+ over last year.
9. Agenda for Board Meeting 2012-10-12 - Meeting went well with the town promising immediate research into this
